Our Contribution and Efforts

We at Xenox Property Accommodations have since reached out to the Stoke City Council to sign up/apply to contribute our propertie to this cause and are eagerly awaiting for it to be official.

A Growing Epidemic

To decide on what they wanted to do with the potential the Levelling Up friend, the Stoke-on-Trent city council chose to do an assessment of how many households had reached out for support. In which, throughout 2022-2023, over 1,500 houses had contacted the city council – more than 900 households were owed a relief duty and help to secure accommodation for people eligible for being homeless.

Concrete, homeless specialists from Honeycomb Group based in Stoke-on-Trent, currently house and support over 150 people. Operations Manager for Community Housing, Dean Marsh, says on the topic that “As a homelessness service, these nymbers are sadly not shocking to us. It’s something we’re seeing more of, particularly in recent years”.

Serivced Accommodations

Serviced Accommodation providers have been seeing an increase in the short stay property market as Stoke-on-Trent has been labelled the Hotspot for unique listings in the UK, overtaking more traditional places like Cardiff, the Isle of Lewis and Scarborough. Because of things such as the Levelling Up fund generally improving the area of Stoke-on-Trent, there is a greater appeal to travellers coming in from abroad.

So right now, the property and self-catering accommodations are doing incredibly well, especially in Stoke-on-Trent according to AirBnB.
